Spring Home Tour

Spring is my favorite. I just love knowing that warm weather is on the way and new life is all around us. Few things make me happier than the sun shining on a warm day after the harsh winter months. In this post, I’m sharing the spring touches I’ve added to my home this year.

Spring Mantle

My mantle is one place I knew I could add a lot of spring decor. I’ve been thinking about this for months now– since my Christmas decor came down really. Ideally, I wanted to replace the clock I have on the wall with a large, Easter wall sign, much like what I had for Christmas. I couldn’t find any signs that I loved, that also fit into my budget, so I accepted the fact that the clock is staying put. Contrary to all the grey that I already had on this mantle, I decided to go with more warm tones for spring.

Thankfully, the spring sales at Michaels and Hobby Lobby made this project pretty budget friendly. I love the lamb’s ear that I have in my glass vases, but I was open to changing it for a more colorful, spring look. Luckily, I found these stems on sale. Since the color is very soft and similar to lamb’s ear, I just added it to the existing vases. It’s the perfect amount of color in my neutral home.

I love the pop of peach in the vases!

The wooden candle holders were a huge challenge to find. (Before this quarantine) I must have checked at least 10 stores with no luck. Actually, I had given up until I stumbled upon these by accident while looking for a wooden bunny. You wouldn’t think wooden candle holders would be that hard to find, but apparently they are a hot commodity. So when I saw these, I immediately grabbed them and ran to the checkout.

This stack of books says Choose Joy on the other side. I just turned them around to hide the words, and tied another twine bow to the opposite side. For some reason, I just didn’t want any words or quotes in this decor.

For the opposite end of the mantle, I picked up one more candle holder and placed it next to the bunny–which I am obsessed with by the way. The last item I found was the bunny banner. This was a super affordable Amazon find, and I love it so much that I’m convinced I need one for each season. I simply used a thumbtack to attach the banner on both ends of the mantle.

Living Room

The mantle really takes the cake, but I also added some spring touches to my TV stand, dining room, and kitchen. I am so glad I decided to start buying things before this pandemic started. Now, I’m wishing I had bought more but I guess I’ll save that inspiration for next year!

I shopped my storage closet and found this Happy Spring wooden sign. I also found this black picture stand that I bought for my classroom and never used. This is one space that I wish I could have done more to, but like I said, there’s always next year!
Dining Room
I love this watering can picture. That was also a find from last year.
Anyone else all about wicker lately? I am so obsessed. Also Rae Dunn obsessed.
Kitchen
Does anything say “spring” better than tulips? Ugh, I love them so much. And look! More Rae Dunn! 🙂
I also freshened up this corner of my kitchen. These items are not specific to Easter, but I love how fresh it feels for spring, and summer too.

It’s such a weird time right now, especially not being able to spend Easter Sunday surrounded by loved ones. Hopefully this warm weather is here to stay so we can enjoy spring to the fullest, even in these uncertain times. I’m so grateful to have this blog and be able to share my decor with you all, without having company over. Happy Easter, stay well, and thanks for reading!
