Christmas Mantle Decor

I absolutely love the holiday season. Each year, I tell myself I will wait until late November to decorate for Christmas and every year my excitement gets the best of me. What is it about Christmas decor that just makes me love my home even more?!

My mantle is an anchor in my living room. My goal was to completely redo it for Christmas, replacing all of my everyday decor. I am also loving all things black and white for Christmas, so I wanted it to be very neutral.

For the center of the mantle, I knew I wanted a large, hanging sign. I found this beauty at Kirklands and my jaw about dropped. It’s black, white, and simple–I knew I had to have it. I don’t even think I looked at the price tag, which is very out of character for me. As far as stockings go, my plan was to stick to the black and white theme. I found these at Hobby Lobby for such a steal. I want to say they were marked down to $5 each. Add to cart, immediately.

On the ends of the mantle, I wanted evergreen trees, in varying sizes, to add some interest. My eyes lit up when I saw these flocked Christmas trees. I went to multiple T.J. Maxx locations to get all four and it was completely worth the trip. I love how perfectly they fit. The tall trees are just shy of the height of the Merry Christmas sign, and the little trees fill in the space between the end of the mantle and the stockings so perfectly.

In the middle of the mantle, I didn’t want to add any more color so I found these little, white houses in the Target dollar spot (I actually found them last year, so I’m not certain if they have them again). The stocking holders also came from Target’s dollar spot. I love the way it fills in the space and looks like a Christmas village. And since they were found in the dollar spot, they were about $3 each. Score!

This is the second year I’ve used this Christmas mantle decor and I absolutely love it! It’s typical to my personality to change things constantly, but when it comes to this mantle I couldn’t imagine changing a thing. When people come over, they comment on the mantle most. It’s rustic and neutral and everything I love about my home. If only I could leave it up all year.
